Our Funders

Our Funders

Creative Start Arts in Health CIC has been supporting Grimsby for over 8 years.

All projects and workshops delivered need to source funding for delivery. We also aim to support, mentor and empower members in recovery to set up their own workshops and projects and be fully funded and sustainable in their own right.

Our goal is for our community to become a place where ideas from those in a recovery programme can become a reality, become sustainable and be led by people in recovery.

Supported by Local Council, Regional and National Organisations

Supported by Creative Professionals and Local Businesses

All projects delivered by Creative Start at our workspaces are designed to contribute towards the future running costs of the service.

We anticipate that all projects and workshops running from the 'Recovery Community' in the future will be self-supporting and contributing towards any future rent and running costs.

This will also apply to any external facilitators delivering workshops, projects and activities.

We also focus on original and innovative fundable projects that can be facilitated from our community workspaces.

Other Sources of Funding:

  • Grant Funding via Big Lottery Fund, Crime Reduction Fund, Comic Relief, Tribune Trust, Esmee Fairbairn Foundation and Evan Cornish Foundation

  • Art Commissions – Commissions from art sales, canvas painting commissions, mural commissions and public art commissions

  • Merchandise Sales – sales of merchandise at events and exhibitions and online

  • Donations – Donations to our cause

  • Contributions - Contributions from external groups/agencies' e.g. AA/NA making a donation to our project when using a room to deliver meetings
