Our Volunteers
We have experienced and skilled people who are invested in Creative Start and its future, but many of our projects and initiatives are nothing without the volunteers that help us bring our ideas to reality.
Creative Start was built from peer-support and voluntary action and that ethos continues throughout all our work with a committed team of experienced volunteers. This includes people in recovery, affected others, Armed Forces veterans, students, local artists, professionals, teachers and members of the public.
People volunteer on our projects for different reasons, some because of their interest in art, some for support, some to gain experience and others because they are affected by the issues we aim to tackle.
Many are not driven financially but by a desire to help and be involved in something that makes a difference to people's lives and benefits their community. There is no pressure or commitment required, they are involved because they want to be.
As an organisation, we are completely committed to supporting, improving and raising awareness for Recovery in Grimsby and North East Lincolnshire. For many of us, it is part of our own programme of recovery to help others.
